Welcome to The Adam Gilchrist Trading Challenge, providing both experienced traders and novice investors the opportunity to challenge the market and help invest in a cure for Arthritis.

Arthritis Australia estimates that arthritis costs Australia $24 billion a year, and affects more than 16% of our population (approx. 3.8 million people). Arthritis is the country's leading cause of disability and chronic pain. Arthritis is the most prevalent condition; above asthma, diabetes, mental health, cancer and injuries; and is responsible for nearly 1.8 million days of reduced activity and 213,000 days off work and school each year in Australia. By registering to play the Adam Gilchrist Trading Challenge, you'll be helping find a cure for arthritis and giving hope to nearly 1 in 5 Australians living with the disease.

Starting on Friday November 02 2007, over four weeks, you will manage a hypothetical portfolio starting with a bank of $50,000 allowing you to buy and sell stocks in any of the ASX Top 300 listed companies.

Place trades at any time, even when the market is closed. Any buy and sell orders entered outside of market hours will be stored ready to be processed on the next trading day.

All portfolios will be calculated at market close, Wednesday December 05 2007. The individual trader whom demonstrated the best portfolio performance wins $50,000.
